Sandstone is a sandy sedimentary rock mainly composed of quartz and feldspar. Variety of colors are available in sandstone such as yellow, gray, red, white etc. Sandstones are relatively soft, easy to work with and different colors of them symbolize different regions. River beds, ocean beaches and sand dunes all eventually become sandstone. Natural sandstone is typically the youngest of all the quartz based stones.
About tiles

- Sandstone flooring tiles : They are approximately of size 90 x 180 cm and thickness ranging from normal 2 to 4 cm (1'' approximately). Sandstone flooring tiles are available in different patterns and shapes.
- Sandblasted sandstone tiles : They are available in approximately sizes up to 90 x 180 cm and as calibrated tiles in 2.5 cm (1”) for outside use and 1.5 cm (5/8”) for inside use.
